A Practical Guide To Resilience – Week 04

For this week, I made yogurt. I love yogurt! I have often made yogurt at home so it was not difficult at all. It’s the food that comes up on my table every morning.
The quickest and easiest way to make is to use a microwave. It’s the fastest! But I heard that using microwave can die some lactobacillus so I don’t recommend it that much.

Anyway, I prepared 500ml of milk, 120ml of starter culture, and a mason jar. I took out milk and starter culture for an hour or two in advance and cool down them.

And a jar did heat sterilization.

I poured milk and starter culture into the mason jar and stir for 1-2 minutes. Wood or plastic spoons are better than iron spoons because lactobacillus can die.

I put the lid on it and heat it up in the microwave for 2 minutes and let it be there for 5 to 7 hours without opening the lid. I usually make it at night, sleep, and check it out in the morning.

After 7 hours, I took it out on a microwave, lock the lid, put it in the refrigerator. I can eat it when it gets cold. Done!

It’s a very simple way. I’ve never seen before that yogurt made with chili or lemon in a video reference for the assignment linked, next time I want to make yogurt made with chili.
